Wrap’s core design separates it from the rest

When developing the Wrap table, durability was at the top of our agenda. To meet this goal we used high quality materials and a simple design which allows Wrap to live happily both indoors and outdoors. The two parts that delivery durability to the design are the top surface and the core panel. We have used a weatherproof powder-coated steel top surface and matched it with Oriented Strand Board (OSB) which provides a durable core panel for the table.

We selected OSB because it is commonly used as exterior panelling in the building industry, because it is highly weather resistant and has excellent structural properties. Once we had decided we would use OSB we had to make sure that we chose the right supplier, as it has historically used a lot of formaldehyde in its production. We don’t want any VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) in our products and this is why we found it important to spend time sourcing OSB that meets our tough environmental criteria. The material we have chosen is an FSC certified, formaldehyde-free OSB which is forested and processed in Ireland.

Another key feature to Wrap’s design is the innovative assembly: the core panel can be separated easy from the table surface at the end of use. This allows us to refurbish the steel surface for you. A repaintable table surface is also good when it comes time refresh your interior in a few years. The colour of the table can be changed to suit your interior saving you from throwing away a load of tables. This second life aspect of Wrap’s design sets it apart from more conventional laminate designs that when damaged or go out of date more than likely head to the nearest landfill.
