The speakers and audience — about 70 in all — were an interesting mix of academics, curators, design students and industry people. I learned a lot from the other presentations: Paul Mickelthwaite from Kingston University and Lynn Jones From Bucks New University were particularly interesting for me.
Here’s the agenda of the conference:

Sharon Grover, High Wycombe Electronic Furniture Archive, “Changes in the High Wycombe furniture industry”
Dr. Catherine Grigg, HW Museum, “Collecting evidence of innovation and change in High Wycombe”
Alexandra Corney, Assistant Keeper, Geffrye Museum, “Utility furniture”
Christopher Pett, Pli Design Ltd, “The connection between furniture design for wartime austerity and carbon emissions reduction”
